It is not quite the new year, but here I sit going on a new journey with all of you. I feel like an introduction is needed and some insight into what and why this blog. My name is Sheridan Martin and I am a mother, a wife, a daughter, a cosmetologist, a business owner, a friend, and a mentor. I have been in the beauty industry for over 8 years and I have learned so many things about, beauty, love, evolution, and myself. I am here to share my knowledge and I invite you to grow with me and learn as I learn on this wonderful beautiful journey that I am on.
I opened Evolve Beauty Salon and Spa almost two years ago in the middle of the COVID 19 pandemic. It was a rough time for everyone and we felt it as much as anyone else. The salon I was working at was closing its doors and moving out of state and myself and my daughter who is a nail tech had big decisions to make. We made a plan, followed a dream and took a big giant leap, opening our doors May of 2020.
As 2023 approaches we stand on that ledge of faith again as we are looking to expand to a larger location with more stylist’s in the middle of a recession. To say I am excited, and scared, and stressed, and overwhelmed is the understatement of this year, But I have faith, and I have hope. I have always been a dreamer and a believer, and this task will push those limits again.
